Recently rumored guinea president, Alpha Conde survived an assassination attempt on Tuesday 19 July morning, when gunmen stormed his residence. The attack against the newly elected president in November 2010 elections seven years ago that led to the return of political stability in the country with a history of coups and guinea military rule. whereas guinea's first election was widely considered successful in the middle of a number of protests from the opposition. mentioned in a radio broadcast, the presidential guard "had fought heroically during the president's residence were attacked by a group of soldiers known tyak at 03:10 local time". According to one minister of Guinea, Francois Fall, at least one member of the presidential guard was killed and several injured in the shootout.
