Obama Shocked At Death & Grieving Mexican Interior Minister

Washington-Hearing the news of the Mexican Interior Minister Francisco Blake was killed in a plane crash. U.S. President Barack Obama was shocked and grieved over the death of Blake.

Upon hearing the tragic events that befall Blake, Obama called Mexican President Felipe Calderon to express my sorrow and condolences.

It was announced by Deputy White House National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes told reporters accompanying President Obama's trip.

"The United States worked closely with those who died in this crash and consider them as close partners, and recognize them as a powerful public employee," says Rhodes

"The president affirmed his commitment to close partnership between the U.S. and Mexico in these difficult times and are committed to continue to engage closely with President Calderon," said Rhodes.

Obama called Calderon from top U.S. presidential plane, Air Force One that was brought Obama and his entourage to Hawaii to attend the APEC summit. Calderon was originally scheduled to attend the meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, but he canceled after hearing the plane crash that experienced by Francisco Blake.
